About The Position

The Sonographer at CenterWell is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and performing diagnostic examinations using sonography. This role emphasizes professionalism, patient care, and continuous learning in the field of sonography, ensuring high standards of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Dual Certification in Vascular and Echo.
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Training program.
• Current ARDMS and/or CCI certifications (RDCS and/or RVS).
• Experience in performing both dobutamine stress and treadmill stress echo.
• Good knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive knowledge in Vascular and Echo.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment and Cardiac sonography examinations as ordered by providers.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological information.
• Exercise independent judgment during exams to differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
• Address patient issues as they arise and make appropriate decisions to resolve them.
• Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to the appropriate provider.
• Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring providers as required.
• Coordinate work schedules to ensure workload coverage.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
• Report equipment failures to the appropriate leader.
• Participate in maintaining laboratory accreditation.
• Establish and maintain ethical working relationships with interrelating facilities.
• Coordinate with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Provide in-service training to other staff members as requested.
