About The Position

The position involves performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. The role includes performing either adult or pediatric echosonography. The worker type is PRN, meaning the schedule is as needed, and the pay starts at $35/hour with daily pay available. Shift differentials are available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.

Requirements

• Completion of Cardiac Sonography program.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac Sonography.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures, records patient test results and reports results.
• Monitors patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
• Maintains adequate supplies and verifies all equipment is in proper working condition; reports deficiencies and failures.
• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
