About The Position

The Echo/Vascular Technologist provides timely and accurate non-invasive cardiac ultrasound testing and transesophageal echo studies as required by HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Echo Cardio Lab approved protocols and procedures. The Technologist operates under the guidelines established by this institution, the equipment manufacturer and/or safety guidelines established by the Texas Department of Health. Prepares patient and room; orders supplies; cleans and maintains equipment, provides excellent customer services with the utmost professional and caring attitude. Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Requirements

  • Must have cardiac ultrasound schooling or several years of on-the-job training.
  • In-depth knowledge of coronary and vascular anatomy.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • 6 months of experience required.

Responsibilities
