About The Position

In this position, you’ll work 7a-3p, PRN, with our Diagnostic Cardiology team providing exceptional care to those who have entrusted INTEGRIS Health with their healthcare needs. The ECG Technician performs diagnostic testing including, but not limited to, electrocardiograms, cardiac stress testing, and 24 hour Holter monitoring for patients of all ages. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. Requirements

  • LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Nice To Haves

  • EXPERIENCE: 6 months ECG experience
  • Computer experience
  • EDUCATION: Completion of Basic ECG Interpretation course or equivalent OR completed 1 year of college

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all patient files and departmental log sheets in proper order
  • Participates in departmental/institutional Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
  • Performs diagnostic testing and procedures
  • Logs, records, transcribes, charts, distributes, and/or posts test results after physician review and interpretation
  • Processes reports and associated charges via information systems according to policies and procedures
  • Assists ECG management service clients in obtaining routine and stat interpretations
  • Performs regular equipment evaluations and maintenance, including defibrillator checks and emergency cart checks according to established policies
