About The Position

The Council for Professional Recognition is seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable, and customer-focused professional to join our team in support of the ECE Observation Systems team. The ECE Observation Systems Coordinator role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity and quality of candidate submissions by reviewing Professional Portfolios, providing customer support, and using emerging technologies to enhance service delivery. Under the supervision of the Manager of ECE Observations Systems, the ECE Observations Systems Coordinator should have a strong understanding of the Council’s ECE Observation System, including the Child Development Associate (CDA®) credentialing process. This individual is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates well across teams, and is committed to upholding the Council’s standards for the CDA® Credentialing process.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related field(s) required or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two to four years of experience/works under supervision; ECE experiential background preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly valued, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong customer service work experience with a focus on resolving complex issues
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to confidently discuss quality assurance concerns with individuals
  • Willingness to define new operational processes or procedures when the team is required to take on new operational duties
  • Initiative-taker with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong open and collaborative work style
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a complex multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer software with an emphasis on research capability and ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Review Professional Portfolios submitted by candidates, identify missing or incomplete information, and communicate necessary updates or corrections
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of Professional Portfolios to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with Council standards
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Council’s ECE Observation System and the CDA® Credentialing Process
  • Process a high volume of customer inquiries promptly and efficiently through unscripted and scripted telephone, email, and chat conversations
  • Provide timely feedback to supervisor regarding challenges or customer concerns
  • Solve technical problems with minimal supervision
  • Navigate a computer effectively and learn to use multiple web-based systems quickly
  • Proactively learn and stay current with emerging technologies relevant to the role of improving team workflows and service delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify, address, and resolve cross-functional issues and unique opportunities
  • Adhere to Council Policies and Procedures
  • Learn and sustain knowledge of all Council programs and services
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Council stakeholders
  • Work with and across departments to develop and maintain a collaborative team relationship
  • Establish an annual professional development plan with goals that are monitored quarterly
  • Other duties as assigned
