Job Description: This job is responsible for supporting the day-to-day routines of teams that deliver against the bank's Financial Crimes Enterprise Policy and the Financial Crimes Global Standard with little oversight. Key responsibilities include understanding and anticipating inherent risks to the business, applying knowledge by conducting research and analysis in multiple applications to solve complex problems and escalation inquiries, documenting procedure changes, providing guidance to employees, and effectively communicating information and data across the Line of Business. The Global AML Operations (GAO) organization is a central control function which governs, facilitates, and oversees the end-to-end AML program across all Global Banking (GB), Global Markets (GM) businesses and jurisdictions globally and manage AML risks by implementing and executing processes and controls. High Risk Detection Group is part of AML Operations. The High-Risk Detection Group supports GB, GM, and Consumer Businesses detecting high risk within business through ongoing monitoring and due diligence. This is managed through 4 Centers of Excellence (COEs) - AML Screening, Client Activity Monitoring, Enhanced Client Due Diligence and Economic Sanctions. The Sr. Business Control Specialist will support the High Risk Detection- Enhanced Client Due Diligence (ECDD) team to drive consistency and process adherence across GB & GM AML. Key responsibilities include providing extended support within AWARE and other ECDD-related systems, performing High Risk Client Types/Products Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) collection, understanding, and anticipating inherent risks to the business. The successful candidate will be a strong, decisive, results oriented individual. He/she should possess a very high attention to detail and demonstrable accuracy of work product with an interest in operational excellence. He/she also possesses good interpersonal communication, presentation, and organizational skills. The Specialist is a liaison between AML Operation teams, Client Teams and the other areas of the bank in support of Enhanced Due Diligence requirements. In conjunction with the client teams, the Specialist is responsible for conducting due diligence and ensuring adherence to bank regulations by documenting the client's KYC information.
