Position Overview: We are seeking an Assurance Auditor specializing in Employee Benefit Plans to assist in planning audit approaches, preparing supporting workpapers, overseeing staff, and delivering exceptional client service across a variety of industries. This role offers the chance to build deep expertise in a high-demand specialty while contributing to a rapidly growing practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Two to five years of public accounting, payroll, or benefits experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting procedures and/or benefit plan operations.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Occasional travel for client setup, conferences, or training.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or HR certification encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support audits for defined contribution plans, defined benefit pension plans, and health plans.
  • Guide and oversee staff performing compliance testing across various benefit plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand expectations and build long-term relationships.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions to managers and partners.
  • Provide value-added suggestions from audit findings for client benefit.
  • Stay current on relevant developments and participate in internal training.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts for staff and interns.
