Position Overview: We are seeking an Assurance Auditor specializing in Employee Benefit Plans to assist in planning audit approaches, preparing supporting workpapers, overseeing staff, and delivering exceptional client service across a variety of industries. This role offers the chance to build deep expertise in a high-demand specialty while contributing to a rapidly growing practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
- Two to five years of public accounting, payroll, or benefits experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting procedures and/or benefit plan operations.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Occasional travel for client setup, conferences, or training.
Nice To Haves
- CPA license or HR certification encouraged but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support audits for defined contribution plans, defined benefit pension plans, and health plans.
- Guide and oversee staff performing compliance testing across various benefit plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand expectations and build long-term relationships.
- Identify issues and propose solutions to managers and partners.
- Provide value-added suggestions from audit findings for client benefit.
- Stay current on relevant developments and participate in internal training.
- Participate in recruiting efforts for staff and interns.
