The position involves working with Pneumatic Systems, including High Pressure Compressed Air Distribution Systems, and Hydraulic systems, which encompass cylinders and pumps. The role requires proficiency in Electrical Control Systems, including basic troubleshooting skills for Siemens Simatic, Allen Bradley Logic 5000, Allen Bradley Logic 500, Beckhoff controls, Proximity Switches, relay logic, Limit Switches, network communication systems, and Profibus and Profinet. Candidates must demonstrate capabilities in configuring Inverters, VFDs, Servos, Encoders, and Motors, as well as basic troubleshooting skills using Multimeters, Insulation Testers, Meggers, O scopes, and Clamp on Amp Meters. A basic understanding of Safety - OSHA requirements, including LOTO, Arc Flash, and PPE requirements, is essential. The role also involves working on various mechanical systems using appropriate tools and PPE, including packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gear boxes, drive shafts, pulley systems, sprockets, rollers, solenoids, valves, splitter blades, bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, timing belts, and chains. Candidates must be able to work at heights and operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts regularly. The ability to work methodically and quickly under pressure to assess equipment failures, determine root causes, and make effective repairs is crucial. Prioritizing jobs and making critical decisions to minimize downtime and enhance overall OEE for each piece of equipment is required. Candidates must be able to read European Electrical Schematics and order components. The individual must be able to see colors for electrical work, show an interest in learning new equipment, and be a self-starter. Experience with Flexographic Printing Presses and High-Speed Packaging Lines is a plus.
