About The Position

As a Machine Assistant, your mission is to follow all safety guidelines and procedures as required. You will understand the Job Safety Analysis and Energy Safe Procedures for your position and machine. Your role involves assisting the Machine Operator in the safe and efficient operation of the machine, setting up the machine according to job specifications, and ensuring all materials are ready prior to the orders being run on your shift. You will also prepare the orders for the next shift to begin, setup paper rolls on the machines, and assist in running orders in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, you will assist in scanning paper consumed to the proper order during production, troubleshoot and execute minor repairs and adjustments of the machinery, and report major machine repairs to the shift leader. Gathering and reviewing production as it comes off the line for quality and accuracy according to customer specifications and company standards is also part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be able to lift to 80 pounds
  • Previous machine operator experience, preferred
