About The Position

Presbyterian Homes & Services - Boutwells Landing is seeking an Engineer / Maintenance Technician for the East Region campuses. This is an exciting opportunity to serve the campuses in our East Region and make a meaningful impact through engineering excellence. We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated Engineer who is eager to contribute to our mission and support site leadership by executing both independent assignments and team-based initiatives. The Engineer plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, in alignment with regulations, organizational policies, procedures, and best practices. Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, follow directions and work under supervision.
  • Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
  • Must be able to participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.

Responsibilities

  • Building, grounds, and equipment maintenance
  • Building and equipment repair
  • Troubleshooting complex maintenance and operational issues
  • Coordinating and working with contractors and vendors
  • Maintaining life safety systems
  • Performing preventive maintenance routines
  • Completing daily work orders and responding to customer requests
  • Painting and apartment turns
  • Snow removal and pool care (as applicable)
  • Supporting special projects and other duties as assigned
