About The Position

The Field Technician is responsible for performing service and repair work on earthmoving equipment while working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to accurately evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair earthmoving equipment in the field and in shop environments. The Field Technician must successfully complete on‑the‑job training, classroom instruction, and e‑learning. Successful candidates demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork, a commitment to customer service, and a dedication to providing efficient, effective solutions. Advancement in Technician classification is based on attitude, skill development, and overall job performance. Essential Responsibilities & Expectations Adheres to and follows all applicable and required safety standards and procedures. Plans and performs minor repairs using correct tools and procedures. Performs the following tasks on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; minor adjustments as needed for service. Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Demonstrates proper use of service information systems Orders and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner Test and adjust components for optimal performance Works independently in the field as required Must have a valid driver’s license to be eligible for hire. Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • A minimum of one (1) year's work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education required.
  • Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills required.
  • MVR (required)
  • Intermediate engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic, and repair skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical exam (including drug screen), and meet all physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to speak, listen, read, write, and type effectively
  • Ability to reach, kneel, grasp, stoop, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb on and around heavy equipment
  • Ability to drive during daytime and nighttime hours
  • Exposure to potential tripping, slipping, and falling hazards
  • Work in environments with job site‑related hazards
  • Exposure to driving‑related hazards
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful or high‑pressure situations
