About The Position

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and dependable Early Preschool Teacher to lead our 2½–3 year old classroom. This role focuses on supporting children as they transition from toddlerhood into more structured preschool routines. This age group is developing language skills, independence, and early social awareness, making consistency and positive guidance essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with young children required
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 2–3 year olds preferred

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Implement age-appropriate activities aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
• Support early literacy, fine motor skills, and social development
• Guide daily routines including toileting, meals, transitions, and rest time
• Encourage independence and positive peer interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom
• Communicate regularly with families about daily updates and progress
• Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing and safety standards
