Requirements
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of child development and behavior
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field
- NC Childcare Credentials
- At least 2 years of licensed childcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead a teaching team to plan, implement, and assess student learning and development.
- Build meaningful, communication-focused relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Ensure compliance with NC-DCDEE policies and guidelines (including sanitation and CACFP regulations).
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes literacy, learning, and engagement.
- Support an inclusive, child-centered atmosphere where every child can feel confident and secure to explore and grow.
