Early Morning Support Teacher
About The Position
As a Support Teacher at Guiding Hands of Pottsboro, you’ll help care for little ones. You’ll provide a safe and loving environment that nurtures the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child. At Guiding Hands Christian Academy and Childcare, it is important that each person that enters our doors are shown God's love. We teach about God, our creator, as well as social/emotional skills and age appropriate development. The two curriculums that we teach from are "Faith Stories" and "Frog Street" with Conscious Discipline. We run our program under the following values: Family, Fun, Integrity, Compassion and Learning. Requirements
- Previous experience in a preschool environment
- Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels with speaking to parents
- Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality
- Shows initiative; strong work ethic
- High school diploma
Responsibilities
- Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
- Document learning experience through displays and pictures
- Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
- Maintains a safe, comforting and stimulating environment for all ages
- Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
- Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment
