About The Position

As an Early Morning Seasonal Team Member at Michaels, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping our store, and help them find what they're looking for. Your role will ensure that all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. You will be responsible for completing truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store, maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Additionally, you will help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions, while also engaging them on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards. You will assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). Your responsibilities will also include participating in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes, completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, and supporting shrink and safety programs. You will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements, while projecting a positive image and serving as a role model for other Team Members.

Requirements

• Preferred retail and/or customer service experience.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
• Remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
