About The Position

The Early Morning Freight Unload Service Team Member at Michaels is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with the unloading of freight and maintaining store standards. This part-time role involves engaging with customers, ensuring a friendly checkout experience, and supporting various store operations to uphold the brand's promises.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in locating products.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience while adhering to cash handling standards.
• Engage customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments as needed.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Interact positively and respectfully with others, promoting the organization's vision and values.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
