Provides one-on-one professional learning and coaching to elementary teachers in best practices in literacy development to improve literacy instruction so that all students are reading on or above grade level. The focus will be on building teachers understating of literacy as well as the art and science of literacy instruction. This position will facilitate professional learning sessions, model best practices, coach staff on observed lessons, and work collaboratively with teachers to implement literacy strategies. This position will also provide direct instruction to students for literacy interventions for at least 10% of their time.
