About The Position

We’re excited to welcome Preschool Teacher Assistants who love working with little ones and want to be part of a supportive, fun team. This Teacher will be responsible for providing an enriching atmosphere where a child can grow and develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually through play and work with his/her peers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older OR have high school diploma
Must have High School Diploma plus 45 in-service hours earned Early Childhood Development over a three-year period.
CD classes must be renewed every 3 years.
10 hours of approved step up to quality training each

Nice To Haves

Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safety, supervision, direction, and needs of children.
Responsible for communicating with parents.
Responsible for assisting Lead Teacher with lesson planning and implementation of lessons within the framework of the school’s curriculum.
Promotes academic, social, emotional, and physical wellness for children.
Promotes a positive image of Colonial Schools.
Maintains training and educational requirements for employment.
Attends lesson plan meetings, monthly staff meetings, and other special events as planned.
Responsible for knowledge and adherence to ODJFS licensing rules and guidelines.
