The Early Learning Partnership Coordinator is responsible for promoting YMCA preschool and youth learning programs through community events, partnerships and outreach initiatives. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is responsible for upholding the Judeo- Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

  • Promote YMCA early learning programs through community events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
  • Represent the YMCA at fairs, open houses, and local gatherings to increase program awareness and visibility.
  • Liaise with other community organizations by attending community events such as EDA meetings and social events, and with smaller business organizations in both Chatham and Glynn counties and the cities of Savannah, Pooler, and Brunswick
  • Serve as the first point of contact for families interested in YMCA childcare, providing tours, program information, and enrollment assistance.
  • Guide families through the registration process, ensuring clear communication and a positive experience.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective families to encourage participation and address questions or concerns.
  • Support retention efforts by fostering meaningful family connections and promoting additional YMCA programs.
  • Work closely with Child Care Directors, Program Leads, and branch staff to align outreach goals with enrollment needs.
  • Assist in planning and executing family nights, open houses, and engagement events.
  • Ensure consistent and mission-based communication with families, staff, and community partners.
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional materials in collaboration with the branch marketing or membership team, aligning outreach materials to show a unified YMCA presence
  • Through coordination with the Corporate Wellness Specialist, create bundled promotional materials where corporate wellness information and early learning details are presented together.
  • Attend joint presentations with corporate partners and potential partners to reach new audiences.
  • Work together to highlight family-friendly membership perks in newsletters, social posts, and corporate communications.
  • Maintain shared tracking sheets or CRM notes to identify crossover opportunities.
  • Collaborate on family wellness events like Family Fitness Nights, Healthy Kids Day, and Back to School Drives.
  • Encourage families in the Child Learning Centers to explore adult membership benefits - and corporate partners to engage their employees' children in Y programs.
  • Reinforce a shared goal: "Once someone connects with the Y-whether for work, wellness, or childcare- they feel part of the Y family in every way."
  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned.
  • H.S. Diploma and 18 years of age.
  • Have a proven background in sales and/or marketing.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in clothing and demeanor.
  • Possess knowledge of current issues facing the childcare industry and be able to speak knowledgably about how childcare is an economic development issue.
  • Have knowledge of the link between high quality early childhood education and literacy and numeracy in K-12 education.
  • Have proven research skills, as you will need to be up to date on the latest childcare and economic trends
  • Be comfortable speaking to business executives and have a track record of establishing corporate partnerships
  • Be comfortable networking and socializing in large groups where you may not know anyone
  • Be available to regularly work outside of typical 9-5 business hours
  • Have reliable transportation as job will require regular travel throughout Chatham County and Glynn County.
