Requirements

Are passionate about youth development and aligned with the Y's mission.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree or CDA preferred).
Bring experience or coursework in early childhood education or enrichment.
Possess excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
Are comfortable with administrative tasks and basic computer use.
Required certifications (can be completed after hire): Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff (prior to first shift) CPR & First Aid (within first 30 days)

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a structured, nurturing early childhood classroom.
Create and implement engaging lesson plans, daily schedules, and smooth transitions.
Ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of each child in your care.
Foster a positive environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.
Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and your team.
