About The Position

ParentChild+ is seeking a Bilingual Learning Home Visitor to support parent-led coaching and educational sessions. This role provides home-based child development and family support services, implements an educational curriculum through home visits, and connects families with community resources by referral and assessments. The Bilingual Early Learning Home Visitor will attend and recruit outreach events with coordinator periodically to ensure enrollment of families on a rolling basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in early childhood education, home visiting, family support services, or a closely related field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, offering effective communication across diverse populations.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional demeanor towards staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers by following established safety protocols, promptly addressing hazards, and promoting a culture of accountability to ensure the well-being of all individuals in the workplace.
  • The employee must preserve all rights and protections under the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 for the consumer population served by this agency; it is the obligation of the employee to ensure that private health information is protected and that disclosures are permitted only with appropriate authorization.

  • Requires proficiency in using computer systems and software to perform job function, including but not limited to, basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e., Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede drivers’ ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Training certifications and knowledge of BRIDGE, DAISY, and Relias – preferred.
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Teams, and Box is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts home visits five days per week, meeting with parents and children twice weekly for 30-minute sessions, ensuring consistent engagement and service delivery.
  • Demonstrates warmth, patience, and a culturally responsive approach through active, empathetic listening, validation of family experiences, and individualized service delivery; ability to communicate and write in Spanish required.
  • Maintain required home visiting materials and proactively inform the coordinator of supply needs (e.g., program materials, raincoat, rolling crate, floor mat) to ensure preparedness for all visits.
  • Completes required program and data management training (initial 16 hours) prior to working with families and participate in weekly two-hour reflective coaching sessions; maintain ongoing professional development in Early Childhood Education.
  • Maintains accurate, confidential case files, including weekly home visit reports, tracking of materials delivered, and documentation of completed and missed visits, referrals, and assessments to monitor family progress throughout program cycles.
  • Attends quarterly meetings with the Regional Director and West Baltimore ParentChild+ team to share community resources and support ongoing professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
