The Early Learning Coordinator for the Family Nutrition Program at the University of Florida is responsible for leading the expansion of SNAP-Ed programming across 29 counties. This role focuses on enhancing early childhood education through a Train the Trainer model, fostering relationships, and ensuring program goals are met. The coordinator will manage a remote team, develop recruitment strategies, and contribute to strategic planning for program success.

  • Hire, train, and supervise a remote team of 4 regional Early Learning Specialists and an instructional designer.
  • Facilitate regular training and professional development for team members.
  • Develop effective recruitment strategies to reach target audiences and engage with partners.
  • Establish goals and monitor progress toward contract deliverables for reach and programming.
  • Synthesize data and provide leadership with high-level debriefs of program implementation.
  • Collaborate with leadership and program specialists on various initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for program success.
  • Develop management plans and standard operating procedures for implementation quality.
  • Support budget planning and management.
  • Represent the Family Nutrition Program in regional or national workgroups.
  • Travel as necessary within the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in education, knowledgeable in Early Childhood Education frameworks and Florida Early Learning and Development Standards.
  • Experience with Train the Trainer model and framework.
  • Four to six years of progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Experience with grant-funded programs and/or working with government agencies.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Engaging public speaker and trainer.
  • Experience managing projects and overseeing timely completion of work plans and reports.
  • Extensive experience using technology in work (MS Office, Teams, Adobe, Canvas).
  • Master's degree with a focus on education or Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience with remote coaching and mentoring a diverse workforce.
