About The Position
Kumon Math and Reading Center of Charlotte - Myers Park is seeking a dedicated Early Learner Assistant to support our preschool and kindergarten-aged students in their educational journey. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with young children. The role requires a reliable and punctual individual who can maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards students, parents, and fellow staff members. The Early Learner Assistant will be responsible for guiding children through classroom routines and daily assignments, grading math and reading assignments, and assisting early learners with their tasks. Additionally, the assistant will support the Lead Instructor in managing the classroom effectively and will be involved in checking students in and out of the center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to interact effectively with both children and adults. A commitment to making a difference in the community and a belief in the potential of all children to achieve academic excellence are essential. The position requires participation in training sessions, which will be provided to ensure that the assistant is well-prepared for their responsibilities. The working hours for this role are Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, totaling approximately 9 to 12 hours per week. This is a non-remote position, and while experience working with children is preferred, it is not mandatory.
