Early Interventionist/ Infant Development Specialist (Home Visits)
About The Position
Ascend Rehab Services believes that every day holds the possibility of a miracle for the children we serve. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Interventionist / Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to provide home-based Early Start services to infants and toddlers (ages 0–3) and their families in American Canyon and the surrounding Napa/Solano County areas. You’ll work in the child’s natural environment, partnering closely with caregivers to support developmental progress. Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of Early Intervention experience with children ages 0–3
- Bachelor’s degree required in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation for home visits
- Commitment to long-term employment
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- Home-based EI experience preferred
- Spanish-speaking preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide Early Intervention services to children ages 0–3
- Design developmentally appropriate activities targeting: Cognitive Communication Motor Social-emotional Self-help skills
- Conduct developmental assessments and write reports
- Collaborate with families to meet IFSP goals
- Coach caregivers to support their child’s development
