About The Position

The Early Intervention Specialist (Entry Level) will provide direct services to infants and toddlers, from birth to 36 months, and complete necessary documentation for consumers and programs. This role focuses on delivering specialized skills training, conducting developmental assessments, and developing individualized family service plans (IFSP) in natural environments. The position requires compliance with quality assurance processes and effective communication with families to link them to appropriate services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Human Development and Family Studies, or related field.
• Registered with ECI-HHSC state office as an Early Intervention Specialist (EIS).
• Completion of relevant coursework in early childhood intervention and development.
• Ability to be credentialed with ECI-HHSC within one year of hire.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel as needed.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services for babies and toddlers, birth to age 36 months.
• Complete associated documentation for consumers and programs.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes.
• Ensure clinical documentation meets all designated requirements.
• Link and refer families/caregivers to appropriate services.
• Provide Specialized Skills Training (SST) for babies, toddlers, and families.
• Conduct developmental assessments and develop IFSP treatment plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
