Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of Early Intervention! They provide service coordination for children in the North Carolina Infant-Toddler Program (NC ITP) and support to their families and caregivers. Research shows that birth to three is a critical period for working with families to support their competence and confidence as their child’s first and most important teacher. The North Carolina Early Intervention Section (NC EIS) is a part of the Division of Child and Family Well-Being. The NC EIS is the lead agency for the NC ITP which provides supports and services for families and their children, birth to three, who have developmental delays and/or disabilities. Children's Developmental Services Agencies (CDSAs) are the local agencies that implement the NC ITP across North Carolina, working with local service providers to help families help their children succeed. This Early Intervention Service Coordinator position is located at the Onslow County Office of the New Bern CDSA. The New Bern CDSA serves children and families that reside in Carteret, Craven, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, and Pamlico Counties. This position will require traveling in this six-county catchment area. The Division of Child and Family Well-Being focuses on supporting whole child and family health and well-being for North Carolinians. This division works to ensure that North Carolina’s children grow up safe, healthy and thriving in nurturing and resilient families and communities.
