Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3 Infant/Toddler Units on official transcript required upon hire, 6 Infant/Toddler units required within 12 months of hire.
- Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field is required.
- Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher-level permits.
- Current approved EMSA First Aid; Adult, Infant and Child CPR Certifications (8 hours)
- 9 Hour course in Preventative Health Practices (PHP).
- Current TB, influenza (limited exceptions), pertussis, and measles vaccination and physical exam.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 1 year of experience with infant/toddler, preferred
- 2 years of teaching experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of Head Start performance standards, preferred
- Creative curriculum experience, preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish (written and verbal), preferred.
