Early Head Start aims to foster school readiness and social competence, ensuring children and families receive the necessary resources and support during the critical early years. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: The primary function of this position is to substitute and fill in for staff that are out and will be responsible for collaborating with the Early Head Start teaching team to support student’s learning and healthy development. This position will help foster a safe and engaging learning classroom environment, under the direction of the Teacher Advocate, and is responsible for leading the Early Head Start classroom when the Teacher is on break or out, as well as developing and leading various gross motor and small group activities each day. Typically, notifications for substitute assignments are made on the morning of the scheduled day. Advance notice is given, when possible. Effective communication is essential for this role.
