About The Position

The Early Head Start (EHS) paraprofessional will assist the EHS teacher in the classroom setting. They will perform a variety of tasks to meet the children's daily care needs. They care for children from ages 1 year to 3 years old. Daily tasks may include diapering, feeding, holding, singing, dancing, reading, playing, and teaching. The Early Head Start paraprofessional also assists in planning and conducting activities and programs in the EHS classroom. This position is a full-time grant funded position and is contingent upon renewal of the grant.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in childcare or early childhood education.
  • High school Diploma or GED
