Our Early Childhood Services (ECS) Center is looking for an Early Head Start Family Involvement Specialist. The Early Head Start Family Involvement Specialist provides education, socialization, and support services to low-income and at-risk pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers within the Early Childhood Services facility, community settings, and in client’s homes. This position is responsible for primarily group services as well as oversight of the family and community engagement services program area in compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. With a Trauma Informed approach, this unlicensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. More specifically, the primary responsibilities include: Providing trauma informed, relationship-based educational services to clients and their family system in office, community, home, and virtual settings, including family and group services. Providing accurate, concise, and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies. Developing and implementing socialization (playgroup) plans, home visit plans, family newsletters, and volunteer activities. Updating and supporting program outcomes, plans, and procedures, as well as waitlists. Engaging in outreach activities as necessary.
