About The Position
Covestro is excited to announce the Early Freshman Discovery Diversity Program, an immersive one-day educational experience designed specifically for undergraduate freshmen. This program aims to provide students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds with insights into the chemical industry and the various career paths available within it. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in panel discussions, training sessions, and executive interfaces, all while gaining exposure to Covestro's vibrant culture and innovative work environment. The event will take place in May 2025 at Covestro's Baytown, TX location, allowing students to explore the company's operations and learn about the skills necessary to thrive in a competitive internship market. The program is not only a chance to learn about Covestro but also serves as a stepping stone for students to start their career planning process. By participating in this program, students will be considered for a summer 2026 internship, provided they meet the necessary requirements. This initiative reflects Covestro's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the workforce, encouraging students to push boundaries and explore their potential in the STEM fields. The program is unpaid, and while Covestro does not offer transportation or housing stipends, it promises a valuable experience that can shape the future careers of aspiring professionals in the chemical industry.
