Your role as a Early Ed Teacher Assistant As a Full-Time Early Ed Teacher Assistant at James Island Christian School, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe and nurturing preschool environment where students can thrive. Your responsibilities will include providing opportunities for learning through play, enhancing social and motor skills, and preparing children for a successful transition into kindergarten, all within a Christ-centered atmosphere. You will offer one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support, ensuring that each child receives the personalized attention they need to flourish. Collaborating closely with the lead teacher, you will assist in the planning and implementation of classroom procedures, routines, and expectations, fostering an engaging and organized learning space that exemplifies our commitment to academic excellence and service-driven values.

Requirements

  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher is required
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are crucial
  • candidates must be eligible for DSS certification
  • Successful applicants will exhibit strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while maintaining a Christ-centered approach to teaching
