About The Position

The JCC is seeking qualified Early Childhood Teachers, Assistants, and Substitutes (Full Time and Part Time) to join our team. Candidates must be warm, friendly, reliable, patient and energetic team players. Must have strong communication skills, and love working with children. Our program offers child centered, family-oriented programs for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Educated and trained professionals bring deep commitment and a love of children to our classrooms. We also support the whole family, through programs and activities designed to build community and engagement for parents and caregivers.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma
• CPR/First aid certified - We can certify
• Experience working with Infants and/or toddlers
• Strong knowledge and understanding of child development principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to the needs of each child
• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks
• At least 2 years of documented experience working in childcare, daycare, or preschool required; volunteer, babysitting, and nanny experience may also be considered
