JOB SUMMARY FPDS is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (Full-Time) to join our Director and teaching staff in caring for our youngest students. The Early Childhood Teacher, under the direction of the Early Childhood Director, is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports early childhood development for children in Early Childhood (birth - 2 years old), while creating a positive, Christ-centered environment. JOB TYPE, SUPERVISION AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This job is for year round, full-time employment. Hours of operation are from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday. The job reports to the Early Childhood Director. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT At least twice a year the Early Childhood Director will provide an assessment of each EC Teacher’s performance and conformity with the responsibilities and personal qualities required of the job. The assessment will identify areas of excellence, areas needing improvement, and progress on previously identified areas needing improvement. The results of the Director’s assessment will be filed in the EC Teacher’s performance file. TERMS This is a full-time, year-round position. Employees with children in school through Grade 6 are required to enroll them in FPDS. Exceptions are made for children enrolled in public school or being cared for by family members. FPDS offers a substantial tuition discount for each child. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS EC Teachers will be compensated on an hourly basis, payable monthly. They are eligible for FPDS’s group benefits.
