Early Childhood Teacher Assistant (Student)
About The Position
Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant Teaching positions at the Child Development Center. Start Date Positions available on or after August 18, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Arrive to work promptly. Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality. Supervise and manage children in care. Supervise and implement daily activities, curriculum and routines. Assist co-teachers in daily classroom preparation work and clean up of rooms. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents and other center staff. Establish a supportive and nurturing relationships with children and families. treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self- esteem. Maintain knowledge of all growing regulations and ensure all health and safety protocols. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred to have a minimum of 15 Child Development Units.
- Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Previous work experience at a child care center.
