ECE Subhub is seeking 2–3 dedicated Long‑Term Substitute Teachers, along with additional short‑term support, to join GSRP and Head Start preschool classrooms in Ypsilanti. This role is ideal for educators who believe in high expectations for young learners, value strong relationships, and enjoy being part of a positive, collaborative school community. These classrooms focus on building a community of preschool learners through fairness, respect, and a deep appreciation for each child’s background, strengths, and potential. Substitutes help maintain a warm, engaging environment where children feel supported socially, emotionally, and academically. Classrooms include children with varying abilities, so comfort with diverse learning needs is essential. This environment is a great match for substitutes who enjoy structure, collaboration, and working in a school community that prioritizes student growth and educator development. At ECE Subhub, you’ll be supported every step of the way. As a substitute teacher, you’ll have opportunities to assist or lead in curriculum implementation, daily routines, relationship‑building, and the overall rhythm of each classroom you support. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a variety of teaching styles and settings, build strong professional relationships, and develop confidence working with young children. Our substitutes are trusted partners in each classroom, and we make sure you have the tools, training, and encouragement you need to succeed. Work with children ages 0–5. Choose your schedule with a minimum of two days per week. A great fit for retirees, college students, and those reentering the workforce.
