About The Position

The Early Childhood Speech/Language Pathologist will provide direct therapy, inclusion therapy and consultation services to students between the ages of three and five. This job will require the speech pathologist to travel to multiple sites daily to deliver services that are outlined in an IEP. The Early Childhood Speech/Language Pathologist will follow all due process rules and regulations, Early Childhood program policies as well as Cooperative procedures as outlined in each policy and procedure manual. This is a 190 day contract position. This position will serve the Conway/Vilonia area

Requirements

M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current state and national licenses for Speech-Language Pathology
Arkansas Teaching License
Medicaid NPI Number
Knowledge evaluations and therapy delivery methods with preschool special education students
Past experience working with children in special education and/or preschool special education

Responsibilities

Participate as a team lead or member of the child’s special education team, to include due process conferencing and well as development and implementation of the IEP
Conduct Speech/Language assessments as part of the child’s evaluation team to determine special education needs and develop appropriate goals
Provide speech therapy services to students who are placed in the program with a documented need, to include direct instruction, inclusive instruction and teacher consultation
Collects data and monitors each child’s progress.
Prepares materials for lessons.
Reports quarterly IEP progress as required
Develop plans for serving students in any educational setting
Assist in conducting educational screenings throughout the cooperative region.
Complies with standards of the local school district.
Maintains confidentiality concerning each child.
Adheres to job descriptions as defined by the ADE Program Standards.
