About The Position

Sidney Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska teaching certificate prior to employment. Sidney Public Schools is a progressive and student centered school district located in Western Nebraska, along the I-80 corridor, 90 miles east of Cheyenne, Wyoming. The applicant must have a growth-minded disposition that reflects the desire to build capacity for all learners, the capability to implement research-based best practices, along with the knowledge to interpret data to make informed instructional decisions for the benefit of student achievement and success. Duties include the ability to work with a variety of groups, teachers, parents and children in homes, daycares and preschools; demonstrate the ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate successful learning environments; knowledge of primary service provider approach to services is preferred, but training and support will be provided to the successful candidate. Salary is dependent upon experience and education. Benefits include retirement, full family health insurance, single dental insurance, life insurance, leave, and short-term & long-term disability.
