About The Position

Non-Licensed Position Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional at Crystal Lake Education Center (CLEC) Start Date: TBD 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday 172 days per year Start/End Times: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm Position Description/Qualifications: AA degree/60 college credits or successful Paraeducator assessment required. Training or experience working with children in a group tutorial and supervisory setting. Link for more information on the Para Pro test: https://education.mn.gov/mde/dse/para/ Interpersonal skills, that lend themselves to a compatible working relationship with students and other adults in the work place as determined by the principal. Must have the ability to lift and toilet student. Possess basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to the student(s) as needed. Position is not a regular part of the district staff. Position may be altered/eliminated at any time if deemed appropriate in the Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Requirements

  • AA degree/60 college credits or successful Paraeducator assessment required.
  • Training or experience working with children in a group tutorial and supervisory setting.
  • Interpersonal skills, that lend themselves to a compatible working relationship with students and other adults in the work place as determined by the principal.
  • Must have the ability to lift and toilet student.
  • Possess basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to the student(s) as needed.
