Here, we learn because we do. The Role. MVS is seeking a passionate and skillful full-time assistant teacher, who is eager to invest their talents in our early childhood school. They should establish a supportive and engaging environment for early childhood students and be committed to developing critical and creative thinkers who collaborate and communicate effectively. This new faculty member will be joining a team that strives to represent the diversity of the MVS community by creating and implementing culturally inclusive and responsive curricula as well as demonstrating a teaching proficiency and comfort with a variety of different teaching and learning styles including The Reggio Method, Waldorf, and Montessori. As our primary focus of the early childhood school program is the social-emotional development of the whole child, new faculty should adhere to developmentally appropriate practices to support self-guided, investigative, immersive learning.

  • Possess a desire to work with our youngest learners in an experiential setting

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidates will possess prior experience teaching in early childhood/preschool school settings
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree(s) in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Candidates without prior teaching experience will also be considered

Responsibilities

  • Assist a teacher in a classroom of early childhood students
  • Lead/Co-lead an Immersion program in January
  • Assist with preparation of progress reports
  • Report to the Director of Early Childhood School
