About The Position

Ingenuity Prep prepares PreK, Elementary, Middle school students in Ward 8 to succeed in college and beyond as impactful civic leaders. Our innovative instructional model promotes small group learning for students, collaborative teaching teams, and robust coaching and professional development opportunities for teachers. We are seeking a Substitute Teacher to support our Early Childhood Academy during the 2025-2026 school year. The substitute teacher will be matched to classrooms based on teacher leave. Depending on the need, the substitute teacher may support a classroom for one day or consecutive weeks. We seek candidates who are deeply committed to our students, have a passion for instruction, and want to be part of a dynamic team.

• You have some experience teaching or supporting students in a school setting.

• You believe effective instruction is full of joy and rigor.
• You are a reliable and committed teammate, who is willing to do what it takes to ensure your students are successful.
• You will hold high expectations for yourself and your students.
• You are flexible and able to move between classrooms in Pre-K and Kindergarten.

Responsibilities

• Work within your classroom team to create a joyful, efficient, learning-focused classroom that leads to exemplary student growth -- both academically and socio-emotionally.
• Provide emotional constancy and support for your students -- and your colleagues.
• Work with your team to analyze a range of summative and formative assessment data to thoughtfully adjust and differentiate instruction.
• Collaborate with and support colleagues in the classroom and through weekly professional development opportunities.
• Support students during breakfast and lunch.
• Receive regular, individualized coaching from IP’s instructional leadership team to grow your practice.

• Competitive pay - $20.57 - $25.69 hourly (commensurate with years 1-10 years experience)
