About The Position

We are seeking an Early Childhood Office Administrator to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success. Pay will be based on experience/education.

Requirements

  • Graduated from high school or its equivalent
  • AA or BA Degree in Early Childhood Education program
  • CDA desired
  • Preferred experience in teaching preschool and/or pre-adolescent children including disabled children
  • Must be able to properly supervise and evaluate teaching staff
  • Previous experience in office administration or other related fields
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and orientation of qualified staff, (with the approval of CEO or CFO)
  • Supervising and evaluating all center personnel, to ensure a good job performance
  • Maintaining a physical environment that confirms to N.C. licensing standards of safety and cleanliness, that is conducive to optimal growth and development of children who attend the center
  • Maintaining and increasing enrollment to meet current licensing numbers allowed
  • Seeing that the facility conforms to N.C. licensing standards with regard to the physical safety and well-being of the children who attend the center
  • Developing and executing an ongoing program of activities that contribute to the care, growth, and development of the children who attend the center
  • Supervising the requisition and keeping an updated inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to effectively carry out the program of activities, with the approval of the CEO
  • Enrolling children and collecting tuition fees
  • Scheduling assignments of the facility personnel and overseeing the food preparation in accordance with licensing requirements
  • Planning in-service training of personnel that is related to job responsibilities
  • Developing operational and personnel policies and reviewing them annually
  • Maintaining contact/liaison with parents, staff, and childcare organizations as well as Social Services, Division of Child Development and other regulatory agencies, and reporting verbally and in writing to regulatory agencies
  • Maintaining the record keeping for the center as per licensing requirements including center records, children's records and staff records
