About The Position
The Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMHS) is responsible for providing mental health support to preschool children, staff, and families within the Kankakee School District. This role involves conducting screenings, assessments, and referrals, as well as providing training and coaching to staff and parents. The ECMHS aims to assist children with difficult behaviors, support classroom teachers, and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations.
