This position is responsible for supervision of Infants ages 6 weeks up to 24 months and requires flexibility to work in all classrooms based off the needs of the center. Under general supervision, the Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering classroom activities while ensuring a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for infants through constant supervision. The role includes preparing developmentally appropriate curriculum and materials, assessing individual and group needs, and promoting learning through exploration, problem-solving, and socialization. The Lead Teacher guides infant behavior positively, collaborates with and supports Assistant Teachers and staff, and helps monitor and train team members. Additional responsibilities include maintaining professionalism, sharing cleaning and sanitizing duties, reporting suspected child abuse, participating in trainings and meetings, engaging in self-assessment, and ensuring compliance with all licensing, health, safety, nutrition, and quality standards.
