About The Position

Are you a teacher who is passionate about the development of children at an early age and loves creating a fun, safe and educational environment for them to thrive? We have the role for you! As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will collaborate with a passionate team to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for infants and children. You will actively foster a fun and creative atmosphere and develop quality relationships with each child under your care, while leading activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. You will also implement an explorative curriculum that includes active free play and provides a flexible yet predictable schedule during which children can learn and grow. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe, and that all children are supervised at all times. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Current negative TB test.
  • Required to obtain a Sheriff's Fingerprint Card, and attend 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year.
  • Required to obtain a Memo Of Eligibility from State Childcare Licensing.
  • Must have proven communication, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate compassion, fairness, cultural awareness, flexibility, and respectfulness.
  • Flexibility to work in all classrooms with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old.
  • To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in child development and knowledge of early education theories and practices
  • CPR and First-Aid certified or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment
