About The Position

Early Childhood Education Teacher– Los Angeles, CA $21 - $27 per hour | School-Based Roles Make a lasting impact in the lives of students as an Early Childhood Teacher! At Cross Country Education, we offer Early Childhood Teachers (ECE) both long-term and day-to-day placements in schools across Los Angeles, allowing you to choose assignments that fit your availability and goals. Whether you're looking for consistent work or more variety in your schedule, all roles follow the regular school-day hours and allow you to enjoy summers and school breaks off.

Requirements

  • 12+ Early Childhood Education units, qualifying for Associate-Level Teacher status or higher
  • Must possess the required ECE units and commit to obtaining their Early Childhood Education permit within 6 months of the start date.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working in a licensed childcare or Head Start program
  • Must be able to successfully clear the TrustLine background process
  • Willing to assist with duties such as diapering/toileting, feeding, and various kitchen cleaning tasks
  • Dependable, punctual, reliable, ability to communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ Infant / Toddler units (Preferred)
  • Current Certification as an Early Childhood Education Teacher or Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Support daily classroom routines and activities (indoors and outdoors)
  • Supervise and care for children at all times, including toileting and diapering
  • Assist with meals, snacks, and classroom sanitation
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment
  • Engage children using developmentally appropriate communication
  • Follow all applicable early childhood education regulations and standards
