About The Position

The Early Childhood Development Specialist (ECDS) at Kids First in Little Rock, AR, is responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care and developmental intervention for young children with special healthcare needs. The role requires a passion for working with children and families, along with a strong knowledge of early childhood development. The ECDS will work collaboratively within a dynamic team to support the developmental milestones of children aged birth to five.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education Certificate, Child Development Associate Certificate, or Birth to Pre-K Credential.
• 12 hours of experience working with children with special needs.
• 12 hours of coursework in early childhood, child development, special education, or related fields.
• Six months of documented experience working with children.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of developmental milestones in the birth-five population.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and developmental intervention for young children with special healthcare needs.
