About The Position

Early Childhood Behavior Technician (Part-Time) – Ashland, Ohio SparkJoy ABA , in partnership with Finni Health, is seeking high-energy, playful, and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide ABA therapy to children with autism. Location: In-home (Ashland, OH) Hours & Scheduling: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Status: Part-time ($17.00 - $22.00/hour) Why Join Us? Enjoy free advanced training, ongoing BCBA support, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact. Your Role: Be a Play Leader: Work 1:1 with children in their homes. You aren’t just "monitoring"—you are actively playing, moving, and engaging a child to help them meet their goals. Teach Through Action: Use creative, high-movement methods to teach communication, social cues, and daily living skills. Data & Collaboration: Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving. Support Families: Build trust with parents through consistent, upbeat communication and in-home support. Work Environment: This role operates exclusively in the client's home environment. You must feel comfortable working inside client homes and visiting neighborhoods within the assigned Marion territory.

Requirements

  • The "Spark": You are naturally outgoing, energetic, and comfortable being high-energy to keep a child engaged and learning.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children (daycare, camp counselor, teaching, coaching, or similar) is required .
  • Reliability: You must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes in the Marion area.
  • Commitment to Growth: Passing RBT Certification within 90 days of hire is required (we will help you study and cover the cost!).

Nice To Haves

  • Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required to interview .
