About The Position

The Erb Memorial Union (EMU) is a department of the Division of Student Life at the center of the beautiful University of Oregon campus. The EMU is a multifaceted auxiliary service that employs more than 90 professional staff and 200 student staff who are dedicated to service and care in all we do. Since 1950, the Erb Memorial Union (EMU) has been the gathering place for campus activities, community interaction, and socializing at the University of Oregon. The EMU welcomes more than 15,000 daily users during the academic year, including students, faculty, staff, community partners, and visitors to campus. Our mission is to provide an open, inclusive, and resource-rich community where students and staff collaborate to inspire and sustain extraordinary programs and services that promote diversity, social interaction, and growth. The EMU is student learning and development centered and engages a student advisory board involved in shaping the department's character and scope. We provide students with a safe place to explore new ideas and take risks, an environment that fosters real-world experience, and a process that allows students to learn at their own pace—all within the framework of staff support and guidance. Moss Street Children's Center (MSCC) is an early child development program that primarily serves children of UO students, aged 3 months through five years. Our large campus center is open hours 8:15-4 pm Monday through Friday (updated). The purpose of this position is to serve as a lead teacher in the Moss St. Children’s Center.
