About The Position

Christ Community Lutheran School has an opening to join our Early Childhood Education team as a Full-Time Assistant Teacher in our 1's Room . The ideal candidate will have experience caring for toddlers, including older one-year-olds and younger two-year-olds. Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working with toddlers and preschoolers
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Passion for teaching and working with children
  • Alignment with CCLS mission and statement of faith

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs
  • Use technology for professional development and communication with parents and team members
  • Collaborate with lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment
  • Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
